The Adventures of Mizzy Bender
This is a story full of adventure and chaos. Although I will not be sharing the chaos, it certainly lives on with the night.
The weekend started with our sweet Luna arriving to town Friday night. I always look forward to having her in our company. She brings such a beautiful energy. We mesh so well that its just natural to have her around. We absolutely love the composition and time spent together. Her spiritual ways keep me grounded and calm and more open to my own. I also love the fact that she and Spencer have deep conversation, usually well into the night when im already fast asleep. The bond between us all is strong.
I should also mention that It was a long week for me. Spencer had to travel for business, making it the first time in 5 years, from the day we met, that we've been separated. I didn't sleep all that well while he was gone so I focused on editing The Mizzy Bender Show. I felt super productive learning new skills, but feeling tired was real. I slept on the couch while he was gone, which didn't really help. Ridiculous!
When he arrived home Friday afternoon, we had the best, most explosive reconnecting booty in the most delicious way. Theres something about that seperation that egnites a fire! Especially when your being frisky via text message and via the cameras around the house. It puts you in a different kind of naughty mode. We finished just in time to order tacos and for me to prep for a guest spot on Two Wolves in the Woods podcast. By the time all this was finished, I was ready to lay my head down and sleep. Having the security and comfort of my man home is an instant relaxtion tool and I certainly needed it! However, Luna wasn't arriving until about 10PM so it was going to be a late night. After all was said and done, I probably fell asleep around midnight and those two stayed up chit chatting the night away.
Welcome to Saturday When the Adventure Begins
We spent the morning putting our best selves together, all while enjoying the morning in a low key fashion. Spencer and I hot tubbed it up for a bit while Luna cooked us an amazing breakfast (avocado toast with eggs... yummm). So thoughtful and made with love, you can't beat it.
We left for Brooklyn around 2PM, a little later than we wanted, but it was easy sailing which was awesome. New York traffic can be a bitch but we were on target to meet all of our friends around 3-3:30 PM. The weather was absolutely beautiful so that always makes for an amazing adventure. I feel like it makes you more excited, happy and energized for a great time.
As I mentioned, things got a little chaotic, so we had to shift plans rearranging to meet at our hotel. Nothing ever goes according to plan, does it? It's a matter of how we adjust that's important.

I think it was better having the switch up because we were all able to get ready together, spending much more time with one another. It made it much more fun!
I will say, with the confusion and timelines, some of us were getting a bit hungry. I was really nervous that we weren't going to have time to eat as we needed to be to the show around five thirty and it was already approaching 5pm ... YIKES! By this time, I had a few shots and maybe two cosmos over the entire travel. There was no way I was going to make it without eating and a meat stick was not going to cut it! So we eventually got an Uber and scarfed down a slice of pizza before heading to the venue. Not exactly what I was looking for but it had to do.
And this is why we are friends ... we're always doing something ridiculous. That pizza was delicious, but messy!

In all transparency, stress levels where at an all time high navigating what was happening around us. Oh goodness, my head started to pound hardcore. Between the flashing Lights, music, and tensions, I knew it was going to be a long night.
We love the House of Yes, a venue located in Brooklyn and rated top in the country, maybe even the world. It's a super eclectic, alternative lifestyle club. They have all sorts of interesting theme nights that really fit into our swingers lifestyle. So, we are open minded to the various shows put on at the venue, which is how we found Dirty Circus.
We had a vision of what this show was going to be. Maybe an over the top sex freak show of sorts. But, I guess having expectations (like we always talk about) fits in this conversation also, and that is ... never have them!
Captured before the start of the show:
Well, Dirty circus wasn't at all what we thought it would be. There were limited acts and limited participants, so intermission happened rather quickly. By act three, they were already sending us out for more drinks. Then, a few more acts, and it was intermission again.
I was so surprised, my enthusiasm for the show started to dwindled as the night went on and I'm most certain I fell asleep multiple times. Oh well, you can't win em' all.
By the time the show was over, my headache was excruciating, almost making me sick if i opened my eyes. I felt awful because I didn't want to be the Debbie downer of the night. But, when all was said and done, I was not. There was so much other nonsense happening around us, that my headache was the least of our issues. Even though things were a little chaotic, we still made it to The Tipsy Dog to eat, drink and dance a little. Not me though, I sat in the corner of the bar trying to shield myself, lol. We eventually made it back to the hotel, where I immediately went to bed to try and sleep this headache away. Luna snuggled up with me, while Spencer went to find food and water for us. The rest of the group departed, as they were staying in a different location.
I woke up around 2:30 AM to Spencer and Luna chatting it up in the livingroom. So I grabbed my blanket and joined them for another hour or so. It was really great actually. My headache was gone, and I finally felt like I could think, engage and be part of the night.
It turns out, as a female, my body just hates me.
The night really didn't go as any one of us expected. And that's a tad unfortunate, but we still laughed, smiled and made memories in between.
What I did learn is that I really love and appreciate the new found blossoming friendships that weve formed. I know we are all looking forward to many more adventures in the future.
Welcome to Sunday
After such a wild and crazy night, we all needed to balance our energy by calming our souls a bit. So we went to the beach. It was such a beautiful day to walk the boardwalk, grab lunch and eventually making our way to the water.
The entire afternoon is exactly what we needed. It turns out there were a few weed vendors selling a variety of merchandise, making the adventure that much better. We love looking at fun new things, especially unexpectedly.
By the time we arrived home on Sunday, Luna and I were ready for a nap. I think we slept until it was time for her to pack up and head to the ferry. Although we really dislike when she leaves, we know we'll be back together soon.
